Definition of Usui Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese term meaning “universal life energy.” It is a spiritual healing practice and system of transformation channeled through the practitioner’s hands. Reiki helps center the body, create harmony, and open pathways to spiritual growth and personal change.

Reiki can also support the body in being more receptive to traditional medical care by calming the nervous system, which allows conventional treatments to work more effectively. As a transformational energy, Reiki has been known to help individuals move further along their spiritual path by clarifying life purpose, heightening intuition, and deepening their relationship with the Divine Creator. Many recipients report a greater sense of peace, relaxation, and overall well‑being. Reiki can be offered in person (with or without touch) or from a distance. This “universal life energy” is an intelligent life force that can be transmitted—much like prayer in many spiritual traditions—to support healing and positive change.

What You Will Learn

This is an in‑depth, accredited course that includes certification with authentic lineage from Master Mikao Usui to you as the graduating student. You will receive all symbols, all attunements, and complete instruction in the fundamentals of Reiki.

This course provides full training and attunement to Levels I, II, and III (the Master level). Achieving Level III as a Reiki Master certifies you to teach, attune, and certify others in Reiki. Students do not need to be physically present with the Master Teacher for successful completion and certification. Our fully accredited program is designed so you can study at your own pace, in the comfort of your home, and become a fully trained and attuned Reiki Master Teacher.
