Reflection on Color Therapy
"Color is simply energy, energy made visible. Colors stimulate or inhibit the functioning of different parts of our body. Treatment with the appropriate color can restore balance and normal functioning." — Laurie Buchanan, PhD

Definition of Color Therapy
Color Therapy (also known as Chromology) is based on the understanding that humans respond to the specific vibrations of light and color. When light enters through the eyes or the skin, it travels through the body’s neurological pathways to the pineal gland. Different colors emit different wavelength frequencies, and these frequencies have distinct effects on our mood, energy, and overall well‑being.
Using color and light to support emotional balance and wellness has been practiced for centuries. Different color schemes reliably evoke different moods—not by accident, but because of the unique vibration of each color.
This fully accredited program is designed to help you study at your own pace, in the comfort of your home, and become a confident, fully trained Color Therapist.
